Signing files from the context menu

Before you start

Have Kleopatra certificate manager installed

Connect Cryptoucan to the computer

Get to Sign Files window

Locate the file you want to encrypt on your computer

Choose the option More GpgEX options

This will open its sub-menu

Choose the option Sign

Sign/Encrypt window will open

Sign the file

Check the option Sign as

Choose the correct identity

if you have more users on your computer

Click Sign

Finish the signing

You’ll be asked to enter User PIN1

on your Cryptoucan

Use Cryptoucan’s keypad to enter the PIN

Click finish when the process is done

You can see that a new file appeared next to the original one

Read the signature

Locate the signed file on your computer

Open it

It may take few seconds to open

A green info box with the signature will appear

And that’s it!
