Before you start

Open Thunderbird email client

Connect Cryptoucan to the computer

Open OpenPGP SmartCard Details window

It’s in the upper right corner of the window

Click the Enigmail option

This will open its sub-menu

Choose the option Manage SmartCard …

Now you got to the Open PGP SmartCard Details

Open Change SmartCard PIN window

Click the SmartCard option at the top bar

This will open its menu

Choose the Change PIN option

Now you got to the Change SmartCard PIN window

Choose which PIN you want to change

Option Change PIN

This means User PIN1 used for signing, encrypting and decrypting messages

Option Change Admin PIN

This means Administrative PIN3 used for generating keys, recovering user PIN1 and personalization

Click OK

This will start the process

Set the new PIN

Enter the original PIN using Cryptoucan’s keypad

Confirm it by pressing the hexagon symbol in the bottom right corner of the keypad

Both PINs have default value: ‘12345678’

Enter the new PIN and confirm it

The blinking number on your Cryptoucan is signaling which PIN you are changing

Enter the new PIN and confirm it once again

If the new PINs match, the green circle will blink three times

Once the Change SmartCard window disappears the process is done
